Free Neighbor Days

We invite our neighbors residing in the 19130 and 19121 zip codes to visit free of charge the second Sunday of every month. No reservations required!

Eastern State Penitentiary was the world’s first penitentiary—a prison designed to inspire penitence—and now operates as a museum and historic site. Neighbors are invited to come explore this unique building and learn about its history and legacy of criminal justice reform. Admission includes a self-guided audio tour that leads visitors through the historic cellblocks, through exhibits about mass incarceration, and to other points of interest like Al Capone’s Cell.
