Member Saturday: True Crime | Sensational or Empowering?

Members only. Registration required.

Turn on your TV or tune into the radio, and you’ll likely encounter a true crime drama that has the public obsessed. What drives this fascination with true crime? Is the genre merely sensational or does it also educate its fans about the realities of the criminal justice system?

Join two true crime enthusiasts and Eastern State staff members -- Kelly Otterson, Manager, Site Operations, and Samantha Hunter, Senior Specialist, School and Youth Programs -- to explore the good and the bad of this cultural phenomenon.

Please note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Member Saturday events will be held online until further notice. Registrants will receive a Zoom link via email. To ensure you receive this link, please try to register at least 24 hours prior to the start of the Member Saturday you plan to attend.

This event is free for all members. Reserve free tickets online or call 215-236-5111 x224. Space is limited.

Join us at 11:00 am on the third Saturday of every month for this special members-only program. Not a Member? Join today! Questions? Email us at [email protected]
