Member Nights: The Big Impact of The Big Graph

October 28, 2021, 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Member Nights: The Big Impact of The Big Graph

Members only. Registration required.

The Big Graph, a massive infographic sculpture illustrating incarceration rates over 110 years, has displayed the changing racial makeup of the American prison population and other striking trends in recent U.S. corrections policies since 2014. Soon this public visualization of American incarceration will reveal a new chapter with the addition of a bar for 2020. Join Eastern State’s Senior Vice President, Director of Interpretation Sean Kelley to learn how Eastern State’s fall fundraiser contributed to the original creation of this sculpture and what the future holds for The Big Graph.

This is an in-person event, advance registration required. Space is limited.

Members, delve deeper into our 2021 season of Halloween Nights with two curated, member-exclusive experiences on the final Thursday of September and October at 7:00 pm. Celebrate the history, impact, and thrills of the Halloween season at Eastern State both virtually and in person this fall.

This event is free for all members. Not a Member? Join today!
