Member Saturday: Families on the Inside

October 16, 2021, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Member Saturday: Families on the Inside

Members only. Registration required.

For the wardens of Eastern State, the penitentiary was more than just a workplace, it was also their home. While employed by the prison, most wardens and their families lived inside the iconic gatehouse and administrative building. In fact, stories of families, both biological and chosen, are found in every era of Eastern State history.

Discover more about the families who called Eastern State home and those in prisons today with Connor Feeney, Membership Specialist, and enjoy a virtual view into the rarely seen ruinous and abandoned apartment quarters the wardens once called home.

Please note: Member Saturday events will be held online for the remainder of 2021. Registrants will receive a Zoom link via email. To ensure you receive this link, please try to register at least 24 hours prior to the start of the Member Saturday you plan to attend.

This event is free for all members. Reserve free tickets online or call 215-236-5111 x224. Space is limited.
