Eastern State Penitentiary offers an organizational membership for libraries that would like to allow their patrons to “check-out” a visit to our historic site.
What You Receive
Library Museum Passes may be borrowed and used by any active patron of your library to access free daytime admission to Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site for up to six people. Please visit EasternState.org for the current museum operating schedule. Hours of operation are subject to change.
Admission includes —
- “The Voices of Eastern State" Audio Tour (narrated by actor Steve Buscemi),
- Mini Tours,
- critically-acclaimed artist installations,
- and award-winning exhibits.
In addition, you will receive one complimentary virtual group tour with every Library Museum Pass purchased. Email [email protected] to book. Current virtual group tour offerings include —
- Eastern State Penitentiary and Prisons Today,
- Organized Crime: Prohibition Era,
- and Prison Architecture Then and Now.
Restrictions
Library Museum Passes cannot be used to receive any other member benefits. Library Museum Passes are not valid for Summer Nights, Halloween Nights, discounts, special events or facility rentals. Eastern State’s programming is best enjoyed by children ages seven and older. Admission is complimentary for children under seven years old.
Details and How to Apply
Library Museum Passes are $199. They are valid for one year after date of purchase and can be renewed annually.
