Special FX Makeup Team

PLEASE NOTE: TERROR BEHIND THE WALLS IS SUSPENDED FOR 2020. We are not currently hiring for any positions.

It takes an elite team of 18 makeup artists and hair stylists about three hours to prepare a cast of more than 200 performers each evening.

Applicants must be able to manage their time wisely. This is a fast-paced, fun environment, and the timing of the makeup crew is essential. Applicants must be proficient and possess skills in basic and intermediate special effects makeup. This includes knowledge of and hands-on experience with prosthetic application, Skin Illustrator, latex, gelatin and silicone appliances, and Pros Aide transfers. Makeup artists selected will have the opportunity to work with the best products available in a professional setting. Makeup artists are paid a day rate.

Interested in styling hair in a haunted house setting? We're also hiring a licensed hair stylist! Please fill out the Special FX Makeup Team application, focusing on the availability calendar. Note: No makeup experience is necessary for the hair stylist position, although you will receive some Special FX training. Please be sure to bring your hair portfolio.
