Once the floor and benches are cleared of debris, the scale of the damage is clear. All the bench legs have rotted away at the bottom, where they had been buried in wet plaster debris for decades. A bench in the background is held up by a plastic bucket, and a support system props up one of the few surviving sections of ceiling. Summer 2004
