An Eternal Light (or Ner Tamid in Hebrew) hangs in a synagogue in front of the Torah Ark. As its name implies, the flame or bulb of this fixture is always on, symbolizing G-d's eternal presence. Although the original Eternal Light of the Synagogue was never found, it was possible to re-fabricate this fixture using historic photographs.
